Center for Career Readiness Awarded Lumina Foundation Grant to Advance Student Employment
The University of Arizona Center for Career Readiness has been selected as one of 16 institutions nationwide to receive a $100,000 Lumina Foundation grant through the From Campus to Career initiative. The grant will support efforts to scale career-connected high-impact practices and strengthen workforce outcomes for students.
Student employment, when intentionally designed, can be one of the most equitable and transformative high-impact practices available to undergraduate students – and a direct expression of the university's commitment to its strategic imperative of Success for Every Student. For supervisors of student employees, this initiative creates new opportunities to help students articulate their skills, reflect on their growth and make meaningful connections between their work and future careers.
Supervisors of student employees are encouraged to join the Center for Career Readiness Community of Practice, a campuswide network of colleagues sharing strategies and practical tools to enhance student employment as a career-connected learning experience. Supported by the Lumina Foundation grant, new tools and resources will be available to supervisors in fall 2026.
