Sex, power and strategies of seduction intertwine in this deliciously decadent morality tale. Behind the furtive schemes are the cynical Marquise de Meurtuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, who plot their vicious sport against their innocent victims with the same reverence one might give to planning a war. "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" is a compelling, captivating and passionate tale of sexual intrigue and betrayal set amidst the excesses of the pre-revolutionary French aristocracy. The game of love has never been so exquisitely cruel. The play was the winner of London's 1986 Olivier Award for Best Play.
