Faculty Elections

Feb. 28, 2000

Ballots for the upcoming faculty elections have been sent out in campus mail.

Deadline for returning ballots to the Faculty Center is Friday, March 10. Biographical information for all candidates is available at the Faculty Center, and it also appears in this Lo Que Pasa.

Up for election are: four seats on the Committee on Academic Freedom and Tenure, five seats on the Committee of Eleven, two seats on the Committee on Committees terms, two faculty seats on the Strategic Planning and Budget Advisory Committee (SPBAC), 28 College representative Faculty Senator seats, the position of Vice Chair of the Faculty and the position of Secretary of the Faculty.

Since there are insufficient numbers of college representative faculty senator candidates, a second election will be held in early April for the remaining seats. General faculty members who are interested in running for a college representative faculty senator seat are encouraged to call the Faculty Center at 621-1342 for a nominating petition or more information.
