CatCard to Change Banking Partner

March 21, 2000

DM Federal Credit Union, which merged with Saguaro Credit Union, will be
closing its Student Union CatCard branch office on Friday, March 31.

DM felt it could provide better service to more members by focusing its resources on expanding member services at its branch just off the main campus at Euclid Avenue and Speedway Boulevard.

With the move, DM will no longer be the CatCard banking partner. This means the CatCard will no longer be the access card for DM/Saguaro accounts. Members of the credit union who use their CatCard only for ATM/Debit services will need a new card from DM. DM will be ordering these cards and mailing them out to members. CatCard users will receive a computerized notice that a card has been ordered for them and that a PIN number will be sent to them.

DM members who use a Saguaro Access Card or a Saguaro VISA Debit Card instead of their CatCard for ATM/Debit Services will not see a change in service. DM has sent notification to these members that their Access or VISA Debit will continue to work for ATM or Debit access.

DM will remain one of the University's credit unions and will maintain an ATM on campus. Anyone who needs information from DM can reach them at 298-7882.

All CatCards will continue to function normally for all University services.

The University anticipates completing a new CatCard banking relationship and having enhanced banking services in place later this summer. Services include web-based access, increased smart chip options, e-commerce, education and marketing opportunities, regional and national accessibility and the technology and resources to implement these services.
