New UA students joined transfers and current students at the New Student Convocation and festivities on Sunday, Aug. 23, on the UA Mall.

Move-in week at the UA culminated with the New Student Convocation at the UA Mall. With hundreds in attendance, the mall resembled a massive festival complete with DJ, beach balls, towels, free food and revelers.

The University of Arizona hosted a series of events to welcome new and returning Wildcats to campus.
Wildcat Welcome, an annual tradition at the UA, started with back-to-back days full of events and activities meant to connect students with resources and one another.
This year's welcome included the Wildcat Fiesta, the Bigger.Better.Bash! and the New Student Convocation, among other events leading up to and following the first day of class on Aug. 24.
