July 15, 2013
UA Med-Start, a summer academic enrichment program for 11th graders in Arizona, introduces students to careers in health through a variety of hands-on activities. Created in 1969, the program is sponsored by the Office of Outreach and Multicultural Affairs in the College of Medicine. During this summer's program, participants worked with first responders, practiced stitches on realistic skin models and more. (Photos by Patrick McArdle/UANews)
