Insect Insanity at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
July 21, 2014
University of Arizona entomologists shared their love for bugs during the annual Insect Insanity event held earlier this month at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. UA researchers teamed up with artists and specialists representing a range of community organizations to provide a night filled with six- and eight-legged fun. Among the presenters was Kathleen Walker, an assistant professor in the UA Department of Entomology, who provided hands-on activities for children at the Insect Discovery booth. Also, Carl “Bug Man” Olson, associate curator for insect identification at the UA Department of Entomology, spoke to visitors about desert insects and the amazing world of entomology.
