Hundreds of Students Get Leadership Training
The National Collegiate Leadership Conference, held at the UA this month, is one of the largest student-run conferences of its kind.
More than 500 college and university students and advisers participated in this year's conference, representing more than 20 public and private institutions.
During the conference, attendees were able to learn, engage in and reflect on issues related to community service, social justice and leadership. The skills participants either gain or hone during the conference are meant to be applicable in a number of domains, including students' organizations and campuses, in interactions with families and peers and, eventually, on the job.
