Art and the Human Experience
Graduating seniors in the University of Arizona's School of Art have exhibited their work in the Lionel Rombach Gallery as part of a traditional send-off exhibition. Their paintings, sculptures, book art and photographic works evoke a collective memory, exploring themes associated with topics that include human conflict, power disparities, political unrest, divided spaces and fleeting memories.
The College of Fine Arts will have a fall celebration honoring graduating students, including those in the School of Art. The college's graduation convocation will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 19 in Centennial Hall. Honors College student Ellen Pott, a Missouri native, will receive the Outstanding Senior Award. Pott's work is rooted in gender theory and centered on women's issues.
