Opportunities for educational exchanges, scientific research partnerships and cross-border innovation will take center stage at the sixth and final meeting of the U.S.-Mexico Bilateral Forum on Higher Education, Innovation and Research. The UA is hosting the forum, which happens next week.

The UA has named Jon Dudas, former director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, as senior associate to the president and secretary of the university. In the new role, Dudas will help facilitate the UA's relationship with the Arizona Board of Regents and Arizona's other public universities.

Jacob Hazzard and other members of the Pac-12 Conference all-star men's basketball team will head to China in August to play a Chinese all-star team, as well as the Shanghai Sharks, the Jiangsu Dragons and the 2013-14 Chinese Basketball Association regular season champion, the Guangdong Southern Tigers.
