No Silver Bullet to Prevent Spread of Asian Citrus Psyllid
Across the nation, the spread of the Asian citrus psyllid bug is creating serious problems for citrus growers, resulting in quarantines in numerous states and U.S. territories. As private and university researchers work to control the psyllid bug and the disease it carries that infects trees, quarantines have been able to keep the disease out of Arizona, says Glen Wright, a citrus specialist at the UA Agriculture Research Center in Yuma.
