A Virtual Cotton Club Rises, With an Open-Source Engine
Bryan Carter, a UA assistant professor of Africana studies, has designed a virtual environment reminiscent of a portion of Harlem, circa the 1920s, to teach students about the Harlem Renaissance, focusing on literature, music and the arts. Virtual World Web, a division of Utherverse, is rebuilding this environment using the Unity Game engine. The project will also include a portion of Montmartre in Paris.
