The University of Arizona is again named one of 209 colleges and universities recognized in The Princeton Review's annual list of "Best Value Colleges," released Tuesday.
The U of A received a score of 85 out of a possible 99 on its return on investment rating, which evaluates a university's academic rating, its financial aid services and overall cost.
The Princeton Review does not rank the Best Value Colleges hierarchically on a single list. Instead, the list includes several rankings of value-related subcategories.
This year, the U of A ranked No. 13 out of all U.S. public colleges and universities in the "Best Schools for Making an Impact" list, which is based on student survey responses to questions covering community service opportunities, student government, sustainability efforts and on-campus student engagement.
The U of A also earned a spot on the "Best Alumni Networks" list, placing No. 18 among public universities. This list considers college student ratings of alumni activity and visibility on campus.
The Princeton Review chose the schools for the 2027 list based on data from its surveys of administrators at more than 650 colleges. The ranking uses more than 40 data points to tally return on investment in the areas of academics, cost/affordability, financial aid, career preparation, graduation rates and student debt.
The Princeton Review previously recognized U of A on its "Best Colleges" list, released in August.
