Fall 2022 Charlas con Cafe: 'Experiences in Community Filmaking: Colombia and Latin America'

The Center for Latin American Studies presents the fall 2022 Charlas con Café – a weekly space to hear lectures from a wide variety of experts and discuss topics relevant to the Latin American region, Fridays from 1-2 p.m. (unless otherwise specified).

"Experiences in Community Filmaking: Colombia and Latin America" with Juan Pablo Félix, Colombian filmmaker and theater director

Juan Pablo Félix will be sharing his experiences as a casting director and acting coach for some of the feature films he has worked on in Colombia and Cuba. He will share some ideas on how filmmaking can be used as a tool to empower communities and raise social awareness, as well as construct an artistic identity.
