Poetry Center Summer Social – 'Dear Vaccine: Global Voices Speak to the Pandemic'

How do we reckon with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic? What we lost? What we learned? What we hope for? What we've been through? Join Poetry Center Director Tyler Meier who will share insights from the Global Vaccine Poem public art project, which collected more than 2,000 responses to experiences of the pandemic from writers in more than 118 different countries. Anthology contributors Teresa Anthofer, Marc Crowley, Meg Files, Bruce Gungle, Sarah Gzemski and Julie Swarstad Johnson will share highlights from the just-released anthology that chronicles and archives the project, "Dear Vaccine: Global Voices Speak to the Pandemic." Copies of the anthology will be for sale for the cash-only price of $10 each.
This event will take place at the Century Room at Hotel Congress (address below). Summer Socials are designed as interesting happy hour experiences, and feature complimentary snacks and a cash bar.
Doors open at 5; the program begins at 5:30.
