SciFi Sunday at The Art of Planetary Science 2021: Space Travel

Join us for SciFi Sunday, Sept. 26 from 12-6 p.m. This will be the final day of the in-person gallery to be held at the Kuper Space Sciences Building.
We will host the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association for safe solar telescope viewing from 12-4 p.m.. We will feature our satellite project for young humans who submitted science fiction shorts, entitled Space Shorts. Dress up as your favorite science fiction character to help us celebrate!
Astronaut Charlie Walker will be giving a presentation about his science fiction inspirations and his journey becoming an astronaut. This special presentation will be held next door at the Flandrau Science Center Planetarium and is free and open to the public. Seating in the planetarium will commence at 5 p.m. and the presentation will start at 5:15 p.m. There will be a Q&A after his talk. We will also stream this on our Zoom webinar!
After our gallery closes at 6 p.m., you can head over to the University Marriott (880 E 2nd St, Tucson, AZ 85719) for a science fiction book author signing and more outreach activities hosted by the Interstellar Research Group 7th Symposium:
