Washington, D.C. Center Opening – Diplomats as Legal Liaisons: A New Model for Legal Education

The University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE) of Mexico, and Instituto Matias Romero (Diplomatic Academy of Mexico) invite you to celebrate the success of our trailblazing partnership to provide foreign service professionals and ministry staff with a foundational understanding of U.S. law. Through a customized learning environment, the University of Arizona trains distinguished professionals in the core concepts of the U.S. legal system to better serve their citizens visiting, living, and conducting business in the United States.
Join us, for lunch or online, to commemorate the impact of legal education within the diplomatic corps, the newest cohort of students, and the ongoing achievements of this unique program. Speakers include senior leadership of Mexico’s Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores, Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Mexico, the Consul General of Mexico in Tucson, University of Arizona leadership, and program alumni.
