You’ve made it through all of your courses, comprehensive exams, the dissertation prospectus, and the majority, if not all, of your research. You’re finally an all-but-dissertated (ABD) doctoral student! The only thing that remains is to write the dissertation. That’s where the ABD to Ph.D. writing workshops come in.

The ABD to Ph.D. workshops are designed and facilitated by experienced writing professionals from across campus. They provide writing support for ABD students, an opportunity to discuss shared concerns about the dissertation process, and strategies to facilitate writing. Each semester the series has three workshops with topics that address dissertation writing for ABD students at the beginning, middle, or end of the writing process.

Not an ABD student? No worries. You can attend too.

All sessions are free and will be held via Zoom. The Zoom meeting link is the same for all sessions in the series, and it is provided after you complete the registration form. You are welcome to sign up for any number of the workshops. There is an in-person option; however, seats are limited.

This month's topic is "Writing In-depth Analysis to Support Your Research." In this workshop, we will discuss how to write thoughtful and relevant interpretations of data and findings.
