Wellness Wednesday One Year Anniversary

When: April 14, 2021 12:00pm to 12:45pm

Last April, the University of Arizona Health Sciences launched Wellness Wednesdays: A Community Connection in response to the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders. These 30-minute interactive webinars were designed to meet the needs of our community during challenging times and offer upbeat conversations along with trusted health and wellness resources and information.

In one year, more than 35 Wellness Wednesday online programs have been presented featuring health and wellness news and resources by University faculty and staff, along with community partners. We are so happy and honored to say that close to 3,500 people have attended at least one of our Wellness Wednesday sessions. Thank you for such great community support!

After a year of incredible change and unprecedented challenges, we invite you to join us as we celebrate this important milestone.

We will be hosting a special, extended Wellness Wednesday session featuring an important topic and interactive play session:

Discover Why Play Should Be a Priority for All Ages

Presenter: Lourdes Rodriguez, MS
Senior Coordinator, Childcare and Family Resources
University of Arizona Life & Work Connections

As the quote goes, "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing." We often see work as a key priority and then we forget to prioritize play, but playing benefits everyone, young and old. Join this presentation to learn how to encourage yourself and others to take a break to play. Attendees will have a chance to participate in two interactive activities designed to spur ideas for fun at work or home.
