Women in Data Science Tucson Regional Conference
This free event will be held virtually on April 21, 2021 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., which is a University of Arizona Reading Day.
The Global Women in Data Science Conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. This one-day technical conference provides an opportunity to hear about the latest data science-related research and applications in a number of domains, and connect with others in the field.
WiDS Tucson is an independent event organized by the University of Arizona to coincide with the annual Global Women in Data Science Conference held at Stanford University and an estimated 150+ locations worldwide. All genders are invited to attend WiDS regional events, which feature outstanding women doing outstanding work. Students, faculty or other data scientists identifying as female are invited to apply to present their research in our Data Blitz (3-minute lightning talks).
Register to participating in the Data Blitz by April 4 by using the link below. Female presenters will give a 3-minute overview of their research using 3 PowerPoint slides (template to be provided) discussing: the research problem, tools and/or approach. Prizes will be awarded to the top six presenters selected by the audience.
