Lecture – Charlas con Café: 'Asylum and the Border Under Biden' (Virtual)

The Center for Latin American Studies presents virtual Charlas con Café – a weekly space to hear lectures from a wide variety of experts and discuss topics relevant to the Latin American region, Fridays from 1-2 p.m.

"Asylum and the Border Under Biden" will feature:

  • Blaine Bookey, Legal Director: Center for Gender & Refugee Studies; University of California Hastings College of the Law.
  • Diego Lopez, Coordinator: Casa Alitas shelter for migrant families, Tucson.
  • Testimony from Kino Border Initiative press briefing with a panel of asylum seekers in Nogales.
