NASA's University of Arizona-led OSIRIS-REx mission will make its first attempt at collecting a sample from the asteroid Bennu on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 3:12 p.m. Arizona time. NASA will provide live coverage of the Touch and Go, or TAG, event starting at 2 p.m. Hosted by Dante Lauretta, the mission's principal investigator and University of Arizona professor of lunar and planetary sciences, and Michelle Thaller, science communicator at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, the broadcast will cover milestones in the 90 minutes leading up to TAG and spacecraft back-away. It will include perspectives from team members and science leaders about the mission's challenges and accomplishments.
