Virtual – COVID-19 Impacts on Mental Health – Part 1: Anxiety and Depression

Human beings are social creatures, and the isolation caused by sheltering in place can impact our mental health. To address these issues and offer some coping tools and resources, OLLI-UA (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) and the University of Arizona Department of Psychiatry are hosting two free Zoom webinars. Both are are free and will feature a question and answer session. Register using the link below.


The July 17 presentation at 2 p.m. features Banner-University Medicine psychiatry faculty: 


Patricia Harrison-Monroe, associate professor and department vice chair: Areas of professional interest include health disparities, early intervention for serious mental illness, community education and stigma reduction, as well as public healthcare policy and its effect on at-risk populations.


Gustavo J. Perez, assistant professor; lead psychologist at Early Psychosis Intervention Center: Dr. Perez is a certified trauma specialist working with people experiencing serious mental illness.
