'Hello Moon Night' at Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium
To kick off "Moon Landing Week," we'll celebrate the moon at our "Hello Moon Night" with a free special presentation titled "Divine and Mysterious: The Moon Before the Apollo Missions," given by acclaimed science writer Chris Cokinos, assistant professor in the UA Department of English.
After the presentation, thanks to our collaboration with the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association, we'll offer free telescope viewing on the UA Mall in front of Flandrau (weather permitting).
The special presentation starts at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Ticket reservations are required – free tickets can be ordered online at the link below. Telescope moon viewing will run from 7:30-10 p.m. Flandrau open all day, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. See website for more information and show schedule.
