UApresents Season Opens, 75 Years of Shows

The year 2012 marks the 75th anniversary of performances to be held at the UA's Centennial Hall. 

Those who have stood on the UA hall's stage in the past include Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., John F. Kennedy, Jackie Robinson and Liza Minnelli. 

UApresents, the UA arts organization that presents professional performances at Centennial, has lined up a 2012-2013 season will add to that ever-expanding list.

With headliners like Bonnie Raitt, Carol Burnett and Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, UApresents is slated to have a strong year.

To open the season, UApresents will be hosting its Opening Night Celebration tomorrow, Sept. 26, in advance of Bonnie Raitt's sold-out 7:30 p.m. performance.

During the celebration, the UA Marching Band will perform “Something to Talk About” on the Centennial Hall patio.
