Recycle Your Cyberjunk at UA BookStores

La Monica Everett-Haynes

Do you have an old cell phone in your miscellaneous drawer? What about the computer that has been sitting in storage for years? Or that outdated hard drive? Do not trash your unused technology components. Drop them off at the UA BookStores.

The UABookStores is hosting its annual Cyberjunk Collection July 11-14, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations are accepted at its loading dock at North Mountain Avenue and Campus Drive, just south of East Speedway Boulevard.

Consider handing over old or unused computers, monitors, fax machines, scanners, desktop-size copy machines, CD and hard drives, televisions, VCRs, projectors, networking equipment, cables and peripherals.

Old computer components contain toxic chemicals that can leak into the ground when tossed into a landfill. The UA event provides a safe disposal alternative and helps prevents hazardous chemicals from impacting the environment. All recycling is completed in the U.S.
