Native American Heritage Month Begins Today

Nov. 2 is the kick off for Native American Heritage Month at the UA.

During the Nov. 2 event, which is being held at noon on the UA Mall, community members will honor the University campus and elders from the Tohono O'odham and Pascua Yaqui Nations will provide blessings.

Other events include:

Nov. 8: The Miss Native UA Talent Show will be held in Room 350 of the Modern Languages Building

Nov. 14: The Native Heritage Month Concert will be held at 5 p.m. on the UA Mall

Nov. 26: Students from the American Indian and Alaska Native Task Force, the American Indian and Indigenous Health Alliance and the Native American Research and Training Center will present their research
